Leadership Development Summer Camp Program
a. The seven-week daily summer camp (8 a.m. – 4 p.m.) provides real opportunities for youth ages 6-17 to develop and utilize their leadership skills through weekly leadership roles (i.e. Mayor, Budget Director, and Media Officers) etc.
The Firefighters After-School Program
b. This is a year-round opportunity for children ages 10-14 (currently in the 4th, 5th and 6th grades) attending IPS School #79. Students are assisted with homework by firefighters and teachers, develop prevention skills to succeed in school and in life, and focus on how to Do Something Positive & Be Someone Positive.

A donation of any amount makes a difference: This is our 29th Year of operation so we have listed our needs in increments of $29.00….
$29.00 Provides age-appropriate books for all reading levels.
$58.00 Provides nonperishable goods to support the food pantry and homeless outreach program.
$87.00 Provides safety items while beautifying neighborhood parks (examples are gloves, trash bags, hand sanitizers).
$116.00 Provides transportation fuel to travel to nursing homes, educational facilities, and out of town experiences.
$145.00 Provides funds for facilities to train youth activist.
$174.00 Provides educational materials to distribute.
$203.00 Provides safety uniforms to identify our group in large crowds (T-Shirts).
$232.00 Provides incentives to celebrate after each leadership activity for a job well done.

Although there is no cost to walk, participants who raise at least $50 by May 5th will receive a special Saint Florian Center gift on the day of the event!
WHERE AND WHEN IS THE WALK? The walk will physically take place on Sunday, May 23rd on the Indianapolis Canal downtown (337 W. 11th St.). Registration begins at 1pm. If you would like to participate virtually, please register and select the virtual option. There will be a live stream of the walk so you can join in the fun from any location!
